The teachers from the states needed their apartment back, so it was pertinent for us to get the *%!! out and either move into the house with which we signed a two year lease, or start looking for another place. The family we are renting the house from was really in a bind. They had an offer in on a foreclosed house, and were waiting on the papers to go through. They assured us it would be just be a matter of time until the papers were official, then they would move to their new place, and we would move into their current home.

This family is from Cuba, and they speak little English. However, their 11 year-old daughter is fluent in English and Spanish, and acts as their interpreter. *Note to self: I have a lot to learn.
He is a farmer, and appears to have a very lucrative business selling pumpkins to the folks in Miami for Halloween. Albert and Lourdes are gracious, and adamant about keeping their word. They would go to stay at his sister's place until their paperwork was approved. Mickey asked them if they would be comfortable there and Albert replied, "My sister, she is my life." I love Latino culture!
