From August:
Lourdes and Albert told us to move in on Friday at 4:00. They were moving to Albert's sister's place. We went over first that day without our things, to make sure everything was okay. Albert was still at the farm, Lourdes with an active 3 year old (ironically, named Robin), a barking dog, and a half empty house was frazzled. Estrella told us that her mother stayed up all night trying to get the house packed up. We felt badly enough about displacing them, so we said "of course, no rush, tomorrow, next week, whenever!" No. They were departing as soon as Albert came home. They loaded up their car. As darkness fell, we took our kids to McDonalds to buy some time and some Happy Meals. Samuel was worried. "What if we can't move in, where will we live?" "What if they don't get their new house...ever?" , "What if they leave their dog?" Wait a minute. What? I saw them load the kids, but not the dog.
