He was hungry. We had brought some groceries from the apartment, but dog food wasn't part of the mix. We did however have some frozen pancakes, and while I have never been a dog owner, I was pretty sure pancakes were a safe bet. The tiny dog ate the whole box, and was ravenous again. We still hadn't heard from his owners, so I decided it was time for a trip to the store. Kibble on hand, and a pantry full of people food, we settled in to our new place just two blocks from the school.
